Summer Concert Series this Tuesday night!

The Rampage Trio, Tuesday @ 7PM

Tuesday, July 22nd, Boston’s “The Rampage Trio” will be performing in this year’s Summer Concert Series! The trio’s powerful three-piece sound incorporates the expanse of Texas Blues, early rock and roll, and rockabilly. Stop by Clinton’s Central Park at 7pm to compliment your summer night with some fantastic live music, sponsored by The Nypro Foundaton.

State Pool update

Registration Night – session 2

If your child missed the first session of swimming lessons given at Clinton’s State Pool, they still have a chance to sign up for the second! Session two of the pool’s free swimming lesson program is accepting registrations on Wednesday, July 16th from 5pm-8pm (for those who were not enrolled in session one.) Children who are currently enrolled in session one that would like to register in session two as well are welcome to attend the registration night on Thursday, July 17th from 5-8pm. Program Updates

The summer session of floor hockey hosted by FAST athletics has been cancelled. For a list of other FAST athletics’ programs offered this Summer, please click here.

Session two of the Summer Tennis program has been cancelled; we’ll keep you updated with any tennis programs offered in the near future.

The Fox Tours Bus trip to Block Island on Saturday, July 26th has been cancelled. Refunds will be sent back to all those who have made payments via mail. We apologize for the cancellation and encourage you to check out our other upcoming bus trips– for a full list, click here!

Summer Office Hours

Beginning June 23rd, the Clinton Parks & Rec. office will be rotating to its Summer hours due to seasonal programming. The building will generally be open weekdays (except Thursdays) from 9:00AM- 4:00pm, but it is suggested to call ahead of time before stopping by in case we are out running a program. As always, you can leave us a message by calling 978-365-4140 or sending an email to recinfo@clintonma.gov.

Go on a nature Adventures at Rauscher Farm, enroll in Girl Scouts, or join in on some of the reading programs offered by the library and school– there’s a whole bunch of stuff to keep you and your family busy this summer!   • An end of the season party will also be held on June 19th at 6pm at the Clinton Middle School. Please join us, in uniform, for awards and a small treat!
  • The Pitching Clinic has been canceled due to low registrations. We will try to coordinate another clinic soon.

Park Updates

2014 Park Updates

Foster Fountain – the painting portion of the project has been completed!  Plumbing and some other minor work is planned to be completed by Memorial Day weekend. The fountain will be turned on for the season as soon as the work is completed. As a reminder, there is no climbing on, sitting on, or swimming in the fountain.

Splash Pad – The splash Pad at the “Acre” park will be turned on after Memorial Day Weekend, or as weather allows. The splash pad operates on a timer that will be turned on between 9:00am – 8:00pm daily.

Savage Field Needs Assessment / Master Plan – Since the fall of 2013, the Parks & Recreation Department has been working with GALE Associates to evaluate and develop a Master Plan to renovate the Vale Street, “Savage field” property. With the evaluation and feasibility study now complete, the P&R department now plans to move forward with the ideal conceptual layout that was identified and discussed during the Master Planning process. For the 2014 Town Meeting, the P&R department has submitted a warrant article in the amount of $45,000 to hire GALE Associates for consulting services to prepare necessary documents needed to seek grants and funding to implement the improvements needed to the property.

DCR Park Pass

DCR Park Pass

The Clinton Parks & Recreation Department has one DCR ParksPass available to Clinton residents during the 2014 season.  The ParksPass entitles the bearer to free parking for one vehicle at over 50 facilities in the Massachusetts State Parks system that normally charge a day-use fee!

To sign-out our DCR ParksPass:
- Contact our office for availability the week you would like to use the pass
- We sign out the pass for a max. of 5 days at a time to those interested
- A $25 deposit is collected when the pass is signed out and returned/voided when the pass gets returned to our office on time
