Folksoul Ensemble

Fred Simmons and Leslie Vogel began playing music together way back when they attended Bard College.  After years of performances the pair is also enjoying playing together just as a duo,  drawing on a large repertoire of material of all kinds, spanning folk, oldies, originals, and songs that might not fit into a band set.  Blending the trombone with piano, and guitar with accordion, there is plenty of variety and plenty of good rhythms.

Make sure to Check out MOAPC Table!

**The Massachusetts Opioid Abuse Prevention Coalition (MOAPC) are grants funded by BSAS to a cluster of communities. Our cluster is comprised of Fitchburg as our lead community, along with Athol, Clinton, Gardner, and Leominster. The City of Fitchburg subcontracts this grant to LUK Inc. and also partners with the Montachusett Public Health Network (MPHN.) All communities collaborate together to address the issue of opioid misuse and abuse in the state. MOAPC emphasizes the integration of SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework model into overall prevention systems to ensure a consistent data-driven planning process across the Commonwealth, focusing on implementing effective and sustainable strategies and interventions.
MOAPC supports the implementation of local policy, practice, systems and environmental change for three key purposes: To prevent the misuse of opioids (including first use); to prevent and reduce unintentional deaths and nonfatal hospital events associated with opioid poisonings; and to increase both the number and the capacity of municipalities across the Commonwealth addressing these issues.
Our team has developed an assessment that is assessing the basic needs of each community, to assist us in getting an understanding of where each community is at as we begin to re-evaluate revise the process.

Judy Pancoast and Judy Crewjudy pancoast

Effervescent, eccentric, energetic….all of these words describe Judy Pancoast; a singer, songwriter and recording artist who radiates joy in her music.  She crafts clever songs with infectious melodies that delight the young and the young at heart, as evidenced by the 2011 Grammy Award nomination for Best Children’s Album for her one-of-a-kind CD, Weird Things Are Everywhere!

The Judy Crew is a dance team made up of talented, enthusiastic teens who love kids and love to dance. The Crew accompanies Judy to her larger shows and performs several choreographed numbers while Judy sings. They also perform skits and go into the crowd to dance and sing with audience members. They’ll be happy to meet you and sign autographs after each performance.
