Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I register for a program?

Online Registration: Click on the online registration link located here, or to the left on the home page that connects you to our online registration system, RecDesk. Log into your RecDesk account or create an account for your family or the individual participant and follow the prompts to register for your desired program.

Register by phone: Call the office at 978-365-4140, press the prompt for programming questions and we can help you register!

Will I be Sent a Confirmation?

For most programs you will be sent a confirmation registration e-mail through RecDesk along with a copy of your invoice. You will be called/emailed if:

  • There are changes in status of the program.
  • The program has been cancelled due to low enrollment
  • If you are wait-listed upon registration, we will contact you if you have been enrolled in the program.

Cancellations and Refunds:

What if the department cancels the program?

We will notify you if a program has been filled, canceled or changed. Clinton Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel or consolidate any program that does not meet minimum participation limits and is not responsible for any missed classes due to a participant’s inability to attend.

If a program is cancelled by the department a full refund will be issued. Refunds checks are issued by mail from the Town of Clinton and must be processed by the town accounting and treasury departments. This process will typically take 4-6 weeks for reimbursements to be remitted.

How do I get a refund?

  • If a program is cancelled by CPR, you will receive a full refund.
  • If you withdraw prior to two weeks before the start of class/session you will receive a department credit.
  • If you withdraw after the program starts you will receive NO refund or credit.
  • If removed from a program due to behavior issues or misconduct, NO refund will be issued. For program rules and more on our cancellation policy, click here.
  • All other refund related situations will be dealt with on an individual basis with the Director.

What if an individual class is canceled?

Every attempt will be made to reschedule a class that has been canceled due to inclement weather or instructor absence. In most cases, an additional week will be added to the end of the program to account for missed time.

What if the weather is bad?

Our department mirrors the Clinton Public School System weather related closures.

If the Clinton Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, programs for that day will be cancelled and the office will be closed. If there is a delayed opening/early release due to weather for the school system, any programs that fall within this time slot will be cancelled.

All weather determinations for all programs/events will be made by the Clinton Parks and Recreation staff.

We will try to give as much notice as possible in the case of a cancellation and contact all program participates via e-mail/social media.  Special events will utilize the rain/snow date.
