Will I be sent a confirmation?

We do not send or call with confirmations. Consider yourself and/or your children enrolled in the programs of your choice when you send in a completed registration form with payment. You will be called if:

  • The chosen program has reached capacity.
  • There are changes in status of the program.
  • There are other unforeseen complications.

Through our online registration system you will be sent a confirmation e-mail and invoice.

Cancellations and Refunds:

What is the program cancellation & refund policy?

We will notify you if a program has been filled, canceled or changed. Clinton Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel or consolidate any program that does not meet minimum participation limits and is not responsible for any missed classes due to a participant’s inability to attend.

What if an individual class is canceled?

Every attempt will be made to reschedule a class that has been canceled due to inclement weather or instructor absence. In most cases, an additional week will be added to the end of the program to account for missed time.

How do I get a refund?

  • If a program is cancelled you will receive a full refund.
  • If you withdraw prior to one week before the start of class/session you will receive a full refund.
  • If you withdraw within one week of the start of the program or after the program starts you will receive NO refund.
  • If removed from a program due to behavior issues or misconduct NO refund will be issued.

Information about specific program cancellation policies:

Summer Playground/Teen Adventure Program:

The Clinton Parks and Recreation Summer Playground Program/Teen Adventure Program will adhere to the follow cancellation policy: Refunds will be issued if a cancellation is requested 2 weeks prior to the week the participant is withdrawing from the program. Exceptions will be made for extreme situations and approval from camp director is needed. No partial refunds will be issued if a child withdraws once the program week has started.

Refunds will be made in full less the cost of prepaid field trips by the department. For the 2015 season the following field trips are prepaid, therefore refunds will be $25.00 less than the total tuition cost paid for that week. (These trips will be announced soon)

Weather Policies:

The Clinton Parks and Recreation Department will use the Clinton Public School System  as a guideline for determining program and department closures. If the Clinton Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, programs for that day will be canceled and the department office hours may be altered. Please call the office 978-365-4140 if you have any questions about this policy or to see if we are open.

If there is a delayed opening/early release due to weather for the school system any programs that fall within this time slot will be canceled.

Weather determinations for all programs that fall outside of the school calendar the decision will be made by the Clinton Parks and Recreation Staff. All rain cancellations will also be made by the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department.

We will try to give as much notice as possible in the case of a cancellation and contact all program participants via e-mail. Weekly class programs will be extended by a week. Special events will utilize the rain/snow date.

Program Scholarship Requests:

A limited number of scholarship opportunities are available to those seeking financial assistance to register for a Clinton Parks & Recreation program. For consideration, a scholarship form must be completed and submitted along with the registration form to the Parks & Recreation office by that program’s registration deadline.
