The Clinton Parks & Recreation Department Building

The Clinton Parks & Recreation Office and Community building (560 High Street) was built in October of 2009. Inside, you will find the Parks & Recreation staff offices, a large park maintenance equipment garage,  as well as a large multipurpose space for community programs and events.

For a small fee, Clinton residents may rent the multipurpose room for various types of activities, meetings, and events.

Examples of activities held at the Parks & Recreation Building:

  • Birthday Parties
  • Sports Meetings
  • Special Events
  • Girl Scouts / Boy Scouts Meetings
  • Art Classes
  • CPR & Safety Courses
  • Special Classes & Programs

Rental Fees:

One-time use:
$20 per hour, Clinton residents
$40 per hour, non-residents

**In addition to the hourly rate a $25.00 deposit is due with the booking fee. This deposit will be return or a portion thereof when the building keys are returned and  if all rental rules are followed and the space is left in the condition in which it was found. This payment should be in the form of a separate check or cash. 

In order to reserve the requested date a deposit of 50% of the total reservation must be submitted at the time of booking.

Continuing use (regularly scheduled, recurring use, e.g. 1-2 times per week for 2 or more months):
$10 per hour, Clinton residents
$20 per hour, non-residents

Contact the Parks & Recreation Office at 978-365-4140 to confirm that your desired date is available.

In order to reserve your desired date we require a 50% deposit based on the total rental fee and a separate payment of $25.00 for the security fee. Without these payment we cannot confirm your date.

Dates will be booked on a first come, first serve basis and are dependent on turning in deposits.

What is included?

Included with the rental is access to the multi-purpose room, bathrooms, hallway area, and backyard.

Available equipment:

  • 10 round tables 70″
  • 8 rectangular tables 6ft.
  • 50-80 black chairs
  • Microwave
  • Refrigerator
  • Cleaning supplies

Things to note:

Alcohol is not permitted in this building unless you obtain a 1 day liquor license from the Town of Clinton. This information can be found by contacting the Selectman’s office at 978-365-4120


General Park Rentals

Any of our park facilities can be reserved for special events such as a family picnics, birthday parties, weddings or fundraisers.  For general park rentals we ask for the following donations based on the number of people in attendance:

  • 50 people or less= $25.00
  • 51-100 people= $50.00
  • 101-200 people= $100
  • 201+ people= the amount will vary based on the event

 Athletic Field Rentals

Also available to reserve are our athletic field properties. Fees for athletic contests are determined based on the event. Below is a general breakdown of the fee structure.

*** Donation Breakdown (please check which option applies to your event):

  • Single Game Fees
    • Field reservation: $25.00 per game
    • Light use fee: $50.00 per game
    • Full night fee (lights plus game): $75.00
  • Tournaments
    • 1-3 day tournaments (including lights if needed): $250
    • Single games (i.e. championship on Sunday): $25.00
    • Single game light use: $30.00 as part of the a tournament fee
  • Events
    • Ice Rink Light fee: $10.00 per hour
  • Equipment Rentals
    • Bases: $15.00 per game plus $100 deposit (refunded if bases are returned on time and undamaged):
    • Portable nets for ice hockey: $10.00 per rental and $50 deposit (refunded if nets are returned on time and undamaged):

  • All rentals are subject to facility availability.
  • Special events will be reviewed by the Clinton Parks and Recreation Commission.

All Fire Department, Police Department, and Parks & Recreation, and Board of Selectman rules and regulations pertaining to the use of the Town of Clinton’s parks and open spaces must be strictly followed. The user will be held responsible for any and all damage, including removal of trash at the end of the event. Whereas, these spaces are public areas, the public cannot be excluded from using the parks. A fee will be charged to the user if cleaning is needed after use. User is responsible for securing police detail if necessary for their event.
