Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ)

You are your child’s most important teacher and we at the Clinton Early Childhood Resource Center are here to support you in that role.

Please ask Miss Regina, Miss Pat or myself if you are interested in the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ). The ASQ a quick check of your child’s development. It is a free tool for parents of children ages 1 month through 5 1/2 years old. It provides a snapshot of your child’s development.

The ASQ will help you to celebrate your child’s strengths and provide supportive strategies if there is an area identified where your child may need more help or practice.

The CECRC is using the ASQ to assist you (the parent/guardian) in determining if your child is developing on track, to recognize parents as the experts of their own children, to further build the CECRC-parent relationship and to help ensure children are ready for school. Building partnerships is something we do well. It is the driving force for community work!
